The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a National non-profit organization founded in 1950 aimed to encourage women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity. 

SWE – Antelope Valley was chartered in 2005 to bring local women together. The Section includes all of Palmdale, Lancaster, Rosamond, Edwards Air Force Base, and surrounding areas. Today, we continue to strive to empower women to network, engage in community, and develop technical abilities.
