FY17 Antelope Valley Section Officers
President - Sarah Johnson
Sarah is an engineering manager at Northrop Grumman. She’s been an active SWE member since college (18 years), and has held numerous leadership positions in SWE. She held the President position in college, the President and Section Rep position for the Hartford Professional Section, and has held numerous positions for the SWE AV Professional Section. Sarah helped to create the Leadership Development Program with SWE in 2002 by serving as the Regional Leadership Development Coach (2002-2004). Sarah has a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from UConn, an MBA from Webster University, and working to finish a MS Manufacturing Engineering from NYU. Sarah advocates for STEM projects, Girl Scouting, Engineers Without Borders, Phi Sigma Rho, and helping to educate local students.

Secretary - Jessica Bacchus
Jessica works as an Industrial Engineer for Northrop Grumman. She has been a professional member for 2 years and a collegiate member for 4 years. During college, she held position as Treasurer and President. Jessica holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State Northridge.
Treasurer - Joanne Ghika-Budesti
Joanne Ghika-Budesti has an MBA from California State University Northridge and is a Certified Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, in Palmdale, CA.
Section Representative - Wendy Schneider
Wendy has been a SWE member for 2 professional years and held the position of Section Representative. She is very active in the community volunteering with SWE events at the Boys and Girls Club, with companies that support The Painted Turtle, and STEM events. She's been in the Engineering field for the last 12 years at a local Aerospace company and enjoy working various projects. She's looking forward to an exciting year with SWE and encouraging young minds around the Antelope Valley!
Section Representative - Sarah Ferguson
Sarah Ferguson is Project Consultant for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm, where she works with clients to find solutions to potential environmental liabilities. Sarah’s specialty is design and construction management of remediation systems for manufacturing and industrial clients. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from the University of Southern California and has enjoyed living and working across the United States and Australia. Sarah has been both a collegiate and professional member of SWE and joined the Antelope Valley Section in 2015 when she moved back to California.

Webmaster - Courtney Mills
Courtney Mills is a Graduate Assistant at the National Test Pilot School where she is working on her M.S.in Flight Test Engineering. Courtney received her Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. Courtney has been a collegiate member of SWE since 2012 and joined the Antelope Valley Section in 2016.
FY16 President - Ellen McIsaac
Ellen McIsaac is a recent transplant to Region B, where she is a member of the Antelope Valley Section and works for Lockheed Martin as a senior aeronautical engineer specializing in structural analysis advanced materials. She holds an SB in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from UConn. McIsaac hails from Region F, where she served as Hartford Section Vice President (FY15), Region F Senator (FY11-12, FY15) and Region F Treasurer (FY13). She also served as the Collegiate Director on the Board of Directors in FY14. Outside of SWE, McIsaac is an avid volunteer with FIRST Robotics and the MIT Alumni Association. Since moving to California, she has been exploring the West Coast by hiking and biking.
FY16 Vice President - Noelle Saccoccio
Noelle Saccoccio is a Flight Test Engineer and Project Manager with The Boeing Company. During her career, she has been fortunate to work on many airplane and rocket engine developmental programs that have advanced the state of the art of both the company and the industry. Noelle earned her B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. When not working, she enjoys travel, baking, pottery, reading and yoga.
